Tape That Mimics Rose Is Sticky Without The Thorns

rose petalsA new development in nano materials has led to a tape film that causes water droplets to bead, much like they do on a rose petal.

The film can continue to hold the beaded water droplets even when turned upside down.  It uses a property known as “rasberry prticles” to cause water to adhere to its surface.

Scientists hope to use this new type of tape film to manage condensation in enclosed spaces and in the development of medical testing.
