LG Uses Tape To Increase Screen Size On Smartphones

Smartphone manufacturer LG has turned to double sided tape to create an almost bezel-free phone screen, thus increasing screen real estate without increasing the size of the device.

The bezel is the surround (usually plastic) that holds the screen to the rest of the phone, and the wider the bezel, the less space available for the screen.

LG’s new design has almost now bezel, since the screen is held in place, at least partly, by tape instead of a plastic surround.
