Tape Sizing- It’s Still A Mystery To Us

We’ve been selling tape for over twenty years, but are still as mystified by sizing as we were the day we started.

Tape rolls are measured in standard lengths, with the most common size for gaffers tape (a cotton cloth tape) being 55 yards.

The widths, on the other hand, are measured in metric measurements, with the most common size (the one you know as two inch) actually being 48 millimeters.
