Oil Price Spike May Impact Tape Prices

tape adhesives from thetapeworks.comThe recent, and difficult to explain recent surge in oil prices will probably impact the cost of many tape products in the coming year.

After trending down since the last round of tape price increases in the early summer, the cost of oil, a primary component in synthetic adhesives has spiked in the last 30 days, again approaching the price point of $100 a barrel.

After falling to a price of less than $80.00 a barrel as recently as October, the price is on the rise, even though analysts point out that there is been no decrease in world supply or disruptions in the supply chain.
