For reasons only rodents understand, mice seem to like to chew on wiring harnesses and insulation.

Sensing an opportunity to exploit a new market, Honda (yes, that Honda!) has come out with a special tape called “Rodent Deterrent Tape”, a product that is intended to repel animals that might chew on your auto wiring.

We first came across this in a Fox News story, and that story pointed us to Amazon, where you can buy a pepper infused roll of electrical tape.

From what we can tell, Honda starts with a $.99 roll of tape, prints cute pictures of mice on it, infuses it with hot pepper and sells it for $39.99.

Shipping is free, and April Fools Day was last week, not this week.
