3M Posts Big Profits-Beats Wall Street Predictions
3M, one of the largest, if not the largest, tape manufacturer in the world reported solid profits for the fourth quarter of 2011. They earned $1.08 billion ($1.49/share), up 16% from the same period in 2010.
3M is one of the manufacturers whose price increase letters we linked to in last week’s blog. The letter, which announces price increases is dated March 31, the same day that saw the end of their very profitable first quarter.
